Products

King Coal manufactures stokers primarily designed to burn coal and wood products. King Coal also has designed specialty stokers designed for burning waste fuels from various industries, including animal waste. Our stokers can be used to fire a boiler or used as an air dryer for an industrial drying application. Typical size of our equipment ranges from 1 million BTU output to 100 million BTU output. All of King Coals equipment is designed with the proper dust collection and emission systems to meet your local air quality standards.

Services

We can design a complete system to fit within the constraints of your existing boiler room or simply design retro-fit stoker to fit under your existing boiler. King Coal can layout and manufacture an entire new boiler house containing fuel handling, fuel storage bin, ash removal, and fans, including draft fan. King Coal has onsite reconditioned boilers available for boiler/stoker packages. We can also put you in touch with outside Independent Professional Engineering firms to study your heat requirement to determine the size of equipment needed.

Design

King Coal designs the stoker combustion chamber which is designed using combustion analysis software that takes into account different variables including, BTU of fuel, combustion air volume, fuel moisture content, elevation of stoker, and boiler horsepower. This assists us in determining the proper grate area, firing rate, and combustion volume.

Controls

King Coal control packages range from fully modulating controls, to on/off systems. Our computerized modulating system, controls the speed of the underfire fan, overfire fan, fuel rate augers and draft to maintain the perfect Air/Fuel ratio. This provides a very efficient fuel system that modulates up and down to meet the load demand.

Coal

Our Coal fired equipment is designed to evenly distribute the fuel across the grate surface, which allows the fuel to burn completely and efficiently. These coal systems range from fixed grate with ash removal augers to large Chain Grate stokers with complete automated ash removal.

Wood

King Coal makes wood combustion systems designed to burn wood chips, wet or dry sawdust and shavings. These systems can be manufactured with hydraulic floor scrape fuel storage and conveying equipment. All King Coal wood burning stokers are designed as a bottom feed that gasifies the wood residue on a cast alloy grate. Complete combustion occurs when the fuel gas is ignited with secondary overfire air. In the industry this is referred to as staged combustion.

Accessories

King Coal can provide automatic soot blowers and automatic ash removal with our package systems. We also build bucket elevators, portable floor scrape systems, and dust collecting multi-cone systems.

Quality

All of our equipment is designed and fabricated using Solidworks 2007 software. This minimizes our engineering time and reduces our in-shop rework by precisely landing all assemblies to their intended locations.
